The 226ERS Isotonic Ice Energy Gel 68 g (24 units) does not require water when consumed as the gel itself contains the necessary amount of water for consumption. This feature is a great advantage for not having to carry so much water, or if we have little water left in a long-distance race or competition.
Moreover, Isotonic Ice Gel contains menthol, a precursor of the cooling sensation. Oral administration of menthol stimulates the palatine and trigeminal nerves, enhancing thermal comfort by reducing the feeling of suffocation and providing a sense of well-being, as well as freshness while breathing. All these adjustments in temperature perception improve performance.
