Akkua

See an idea come true ... study a project and see it take shape ... imagine a solution and see it materialize ... are all the things that make me fly ... With this phrase by Marco Coffinardi begins the story of Akkua , a young company of the Decortex Group, located in Bagnolo Mella, in the province of Brescia.

The Decortex Group was founded in 1982, specializing in the study, design and printing of silkscreen in stockings, and is the European leader in the silk screen printing market and counts among its clients the best and largest socks and stocking manufacturers, working even with some of the great international fashion brands.

Last but not least, add that Grupo Decortex has the OEKO-TEX standard 100 certification, synonym of quality and excellence, commitment and attention in the use of materials that respect people and the environment.

From this technical-productive structure in continuous evolution, in 2005 the Akkua project comes to life with the aim of "creating the first aquafitness technical sock". In 2006 Akkua is the official supplier of the XX Olympic Games of Turin and designs and creates for the occasion a limited series of footwear for 150 actors that give life to the opening of the games. In the same year, given the success of the Olympic Games, Akkua launches the Wellness Experience sock, the first technical footwear for all activities in the gym without the use of shoes. And here the doors to the world "Barefoot indoor" open.

In 2007 Akkua presents the One Finger technology, socks with the separated big toe to improve the stability and the directionality of movements. Also in the same year presents the first technical socks for sports and recreational activities of children, Akkua Kids Pool and Akkua Kids Gym. In 2008 Akkua presents Rehab socks, the first technical sock created for neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation in the water and in the gym. In 2009 the Yoga Natural version was born, the first footwear totally in natural fiber, and the same year Akkua Action arrived, a sock for beach and trampoline sports.
