AKU Bellamont III Mid Plus shoes are the new version of Bellamont Plus, an exclusive and high quality shoe, suitable for urban use or active leisure time. It is an example of AKU's commitment to finding design solutions with less environmental impact; the tanning and retanning of leathers is done without using chrome, the laces are made of natural cotton. 99% of the materials used in construction are of European origin. The structural characteristics of the product place Bellamont PLUS, proposed in the Low and Mid versions, in the category of footwear for daily use inspired by outdoor activities. The heel and toe are protected by the innovative Liba Smart technical material. New Vibram Predator sole with high durability compound.

The Internal Midsole System is an exclusive technology used by AKU in the construction of the mounting pad, which combines the traditional nylon support structure with a microporous layer, placed on the inside of the instep. This system facilitates the perfect adaptation of the insole to the anatomy of the foot, guarantees an even distribution of pressure, prevents lateral and frontal displacement during intense use, also absorbs impacts and offers optimum comfort of the shoe last.
In the IMS1 version the Internal Midsole System is combined with a thin external midsole of microporous EVA. In this way, thanks to the low profile of the midsole, maximum sensitivity, precision and reliability are guaranteed, to ensure a correct and immediate response to ground stresses.

Zero Impact
DANI Sustainable Leather has developed Zero Impact leather, thanks to an innovative process that replaces chrome and heavy metals in the tanning process, reduces the proportion of CO2 emissions by 5% and reduces the remaining part to zero thanks to certified reforestation interventions.

- Chrome Free Leather
The sustainable leather produced by the Italian tannery DANI is the result of a specific study and research process, the certified tanning process developed by DANI that eliminates the use of chrome during the process. Thanks to the achievement of this standard, the DANI Sustainable Leather is considered formally chrome free, a guarantee of safety for the user.

- Vibram sole
Most of the AKU collection uses exclusive Vibram soles, both for the design and the specific shape of the sole, as well as the leather used in their making. The outsole is also designed for the specific needs and end use of the shoes. They have designed 3 different types of sole for mountain, trekking and active that have a particular abrasion-resistance.
