The identification of the last in relation to the morphology of the foot is one of the basic criteria when choosing the right footwear. Elica is an integrated system consisting of form + mounting insole + midsole + tread that follows the anatomical shape of the sole of the foot and the normal inclination of the heel and forefoot. The functional value of Elica technology has been certified by specific tests carried out at the CERISM Centro Studi Salute laboratories of the University of Verona. Tests show that a more even distribution of foot pressure during the stance and push-off phases promotes comfort by reducing impact and stress during walking.
- Gore-Tex
Gore-Tex membrane is a unique heat-sealed technical fabric containing approximately 1. 4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. These sediments are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of moisture vapor. So while water droplets cannot penetrate the membrane, moisture vapor easily escapes. GORE-TEX has designed 3 specific types of membrane for the footwear industry, each with specific functions.
- Vibram sole
Most of the AKU collection has exclusive soles designed in conjunction with Vibram, both because of the specific design and shape of the sole, and because of the composition of the rubber with which it is made. The outsole is also designed with the specific needs and final use of the shoes in mind. 3 different types of soles have been designed specifically for mountain, trekking and active soles that have a particular resistance to abrasion.
