The AKU Rock Dfs Approach Shoes are inspired by the iconic Rock model, from which comes the construction with a protective band on the forefoot that wraps and protects the midsole on the inner side, the new Rock Dfs GORE-TEX is a technical model for approach and light climbing, via ferrata and mountain trail routes. The new Dual Fit Dual Lacing system allows you to adjust support and comfort depending on the type of slope: traditional laces for maximum comfort when walking and quick laces for increased sensitivity on steep slopes. The Vibram Approcciosa outsole, with high performance Megagrip compound, provides maximum grip and features a climbing specific design.

Garments made with GORE-TEX fabrics offer long-lasting waterproof and windproof protection and optimal breathability. They are resistant products that maximise the protection and user comfort. Available in 2 and 3 layer versions. The 2-layer structure used in GORE-TEX products is ideal for a wide range of outdoor activities. A GORE-TEX membrane attaches to the outer material and is protected on the inside by an additional lining. This separate lining guarantees greater comfort and a more versatile use. The GORE-TEX 3-layer products are versatile, comfortable and extremely soft. A GORE-TEX membrane attaches directly to the outer fabric and to the inside lining. GORE-TEX products with 3 layers are designed to reduce the number of layers and increase freedom of movement.

Grip, stability, shock absorption, durability and resistance to temperature changes are guaranteed.
The double density polyurethane outsole gives the shoes their lightweight and resistance. A comfortable and lightweight sole composed of a compact polyurethane outsole for good grip on uneven ground and with a tread pattern that automatically expels mud from wet and muddy autumnal trails, and an expanded polyurethane insole which cushions impact, preventing injury to the knees, ankles and hips. It is a very comfortable and flexible sole that adapts perfectly to the way your foot moves.

- OrthoLite
OrthoLite sockliners offer excellent cushioning thanks to their triple layer compressed layer construction that improve the way your feet fit the shoes. They are highly breathable, being made of polyurethane and manage moisture perfectly. Plus, they are lightweight and can be machine washed.

- Air 8000
The first of two systems developed by AKU to guarantee a high level of shoe breathability. It's a specially-made technical material that increases breathability over 24 hours by over 11 times when compared to conventionally-made material.

- Elica Tech
An integrated system involving 3 different parts in the sole and midsole to accurately follow the shape of the foot's sole and fit to the normal heel and forefoot inclination to reduce impact and tension. Laboratory tests have proven that Elica footwear guarantees a more uniform pressure distribution across the foot compared to traditional footwear.

- Performance Fit
The wrapping fit and durability of mountaineering and hiking models guarantee the necessary precision and sensitivity for climbing over ice and rocks.

- Internal Midsole System (IMS)
The is an exclusive technology used by AKU in the construction of the mounting pad, which combines the traditional nylon support structure with a microporous layer, placed on the inside of the instep. This system facilitates the perfect adaptation of the insole to the anatomy of the foot, guarantees an even distribution of pressure, prevents lateral and frontal displacement during intense use, also absorbs impacts and offers optimum comfort of the shoe last. In the IMS1 version the Internal Midsole System is combined with a thin external midsole of microporous EVA. In this way, thanks to the low profile of the midsole, maximum sensitivity, precision and reliability are guaranteed, to ensure a correct and immediate response to ground stresses.
