AKU Selvatica GORE-TEX women's shoes are made from lightweight, breathable fabric with dynamic sole and instep support. In the instep we find reinforcement that eliminates the seams avoiding this way the rubbing. The insole, midsole and sole have been developed with the exclusive AKU Elica Natural Stride System technology to favour biodynamic science. The sole of the Vibram Selvatica Megagrip has an excellent ground contact surface for better traction at 360 degrees. The antimicrobial and breathable OrthoLite insole provides good shock absorption.

- Vibram sole
Most of the AKU collection has exclusive soles designed in conjunction with Vibram, both because of the specific design and shape of the sole, and because of the composition of the rubber with which it is made. The outsole is also designed with the specific needs and final use of the shoes in mind. 3 different types of soles have been designed specifically for mountain, trekking and active soles that have a particular resistance to abrasion.

- Internal Midsole System (IMS)
is an exclusive technology used by AKU in the construction of the assembly palm, which combines the traditional nylon support structure with a microporous layer, placed on the inside of the instep. This system facilitates the perfect adaptation of the insole to the anatomy of the foot, guarantees an even distribution of pressure, prevents lateral and frontal displacements during intense use, also absorbs impacts and offers optimum comfort of the last of the footwear. In the IMS1 version the Internal Midsole System is combined with a thin microporous EVA outer midsole. In this way, thanks to the low profile of the midsole, maximum sensitivity, precision and reliability are guaranteed, to ensure a correct and immediate response to the efforts of the terrain.

- GORE-TEX
GORE-TEX membrane is a unique heat-sealed technical fabric containing approximately 1. 4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. These sediments are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of moisture vapor. So while water droplets cannot penetrate the membrane, moisture vapor easily escapes. GORE-TEX has developed 3 specific types of membrane for the footwear sector, each with specific functional properties.

- Elica Tech
It is an integrated system consisting of 3 distinct parts on the sole and midsole to faithfully follow the anatomical shape of the sole of the foot and adapts to the normal tilt of the heel and forefoot to reduce impact and tension. Laboratory tests certify that footwear with Elica, compared to traditional footwear, guarantees a more uniform distribution of foot pressure.

- Performance Fit
The tight wrapping and durability of models designed for mountaineering and mountaineering ensure the precision and perception needed for ice and rock climbing.

- OrthoLite
OrthoLite insoles offer a high level of cushioning thanks to their design of three compressed layers as well as improving the shoe's fit. They have great breathability thanks to their polyurethane construction and they manage moisture perfectly. As well as that, they are lightweight and can be put in the washing machine.

- Air 8000
It is the first of two systems developed by AKU to guarantee a high level of breathability of the shoe. It is a fabric made with a special technique thanks to which the level of transpiration in the space of 24h, increases up to more than 11 times compared to a fabric made with a conventional system.
