The ASICS GEL-Kayano 27 running shoes are ideal for excellent comfort and advanced support. The redesigned mesh upper helps keep the feet cool, while the sole is more flexible to help promote a more natural swing during the walking cycle. This starts at the heel with additional flexible grooves that help isolate the initial impact to force a softer, more gentle feel when stepping on the foot. In the middle of the stance, the foot should stop bending and return to supination for efficient take-off. To aid this natural movement, we incorporated DYNAMIC DUOMAX technology to help support the foot and increase the stability of runners whose feet roll too far inward (overpronation). The midsole also integrates SPACE TRUSSTIC technology, which provides stability and reduces overall weight to help promote a smoother transition from foot strike to launch. This additional stability is complemented by deeper flex grooves in the forefoot for a smoother ride through the toe, allowing the shoe to move more naturally with the foot. Finally, a large section of reflective materials on the back of the foot helps keep runners visible when running in low light conditions. The GEL-KAYANO 27 model is an excellent choice for both competitive and non-competitive runners looking for a daily trainer that combines comfort with support.
