The Assos Equipe R jacket features a racingFit cut and aerodynamic design for high-intensity riding in challenging winter conditions. The updated storm-proof fabrics enhance breathability and moisture management, enveloping the body with a second-skin fit. It boasts entirely renewed fabrics for a lighter, more breathable softshell construction, and, most importantly, increased flexibility. The new construction adapts better to the body, improving the aerodynamic second-skin fit while also enhancing the hydrophobic properties of the fabrics to draw moisture away from the skin and maintain a dry, warm microclimate.

The cut of Assos garments has been designed based on the riding position on the bicycle. Some Assos garments have been specifically conceived for users with an athletic build. Assos cuts are anatomical, based on the A.E.P.D (Advanced Ergonomic Model Design) system, therefore Assos has designed its garments with the cyclist's protection and adaptation in mind, without exceeding the pressure points for the cyclist. The best way to experience Assos's anatomical precision is to wear their garments and assume the riding position; you will feel how the clothing perfectly adapts to the cycling posture. Obviously, Assos does not create clothing that is comfortable to wear off the bike; this is a common sentiment among customers.

Purchasing an incorrect size (too large or too small) will result in comfort issues for the customer. A garment that is too large could cause irritation and discomfort due to folds or excess fabric, as in that case, the ALS system inherent to Assos sizing would not function perfectly. If the garment is too small, we would excessively stretch the seams and joints, leading to increased pressure and discomfort.

Usage Tips:

• Never pull on the seams when putting on or taking off Assos garments
• Before mounting the bicycle, ensure the clothing is correctly positioned, especially the chamois pad and other pressure points, without straining the seams or joints
• Assos bib shorts are designed for cycling. Therefore, the straps may pull excessively when standing; on the bike, the excessive pressure disappears; if not, please check your sizing
• Avoid excessively stretching the bib shorts when urinating (for men). It is better to perform this action by pulling the garment from the belly area and the straps, always leaning forward to reduce tension on the seams
• Avoid riding near branches and bushes, as this will undoubtedly damage your garments

Washing Advice:

• Each time you wash Assos garments, try to do so separately from the rest of the laundry to avoid friction with other fabrics and preserve the properties of Assos clothing
• Always separate dark clothing from white
• Before each wash, turn the clothing inside out
• Assos garments can be machine washed, but always use a protective bag and a delicate wash programme (maximum 30°C)
• Do not use fabric softeners or harsh products on the fabrics. Always use liquid, neutral soaps (for example, Assos Active Wear Cleaner)
• Do not stretch or wring out Assos garments, even to remove excess water
• Never use a dryer with Assos garments. Allow your clothing to air dry in a place not exposed to sunlight

Storage:

• After each ride, store Assos garments in a well-ventilated area, although ideally, you should wash them immediately after cycling
• Do not dry or store garments in direct sunlight
• Never store garments in a damp, enclosed space (avoid plastic bags, sports bags, etc.)
• If you tend to sweat a lot, it is advisable to rinse the garment in cold water after each ride. This will protect the fibres from bacteria that could damage the fabric
