The Assos Equipe RS S9 Bib Tights are designed to offer maximum thermal protection during low temperature outings. The A-Lock engineered support system ensures that thicker fabrics fit perfectly to the skin, making it easier to adjust the garment regardless of the passage of time. The position of the chamois is maintained thanks to the ergonomic ergoBox stitching system and the external rollBar straps, which means that the ischions are completely protected over the centre of the chamois as the body moves and its weight shifts.

The two-layer twinDeck design for the knee, thigh, crotch and hip area, making use of a combination of the ultra-lightweight two-layer SPHERE Ultra fabric with membrane and the brushed OSMOS Heavy fabric, offers increased insulation. At the back, thicker SPHERE Medium fabric has been added. This solid mix of water and wind resistant fabrics, developed in the Assos laboratory, offers protection in specific areas, but without compromising the garment's breathability. They incorporate the EQUIPE RS S9 chamois.

The EQUIPE RS S9 chamois without kraterCooler holes: this is an elastic chamois designed for competitions with a 3D design in the basalt colour range that does not have kraterCooler ventilation holes on the front.

- A-Lock Engineering System: This is a Generation S9 system consisting of new fabrics and technologies that merge to stabilize the position of the shorts and the chamois
- OSMOS Heavy Fabric: this knitted fabric is the main textile material of the braced bib and the heaviest of OSMOS family of brushed fabrics (290 g/m2). It has an asymmetric elasticity and a durable design that is soft to the touch. It also offers a high level of insulation thanks to the brushed side facing the skin
- SPHERE Ultra fabric: This fabric is applied to the double-layer twinDeck design on the front panel of the crotch together with the OSMOS Heavy fabric to add an extra level of thermal insulation. It is a patented double-layer, Softshell-type fabric that offers wind and water resistance, as well as high breathability. It is made with a polyurethane membrane that helps to repel water, which generates greater insulation and less volume. Weight: 140 g/m2; breathable: PVA (water vapour permeability) 40 000 g/m2 in 24h; water column >10 000 mm; elasticity: 2-way stretch
- SPHERE Medium fabric: This is the thicker version of the SPHERE fabric used for the upper rear panel. It is a patented 3-layer Softshell-type fabric that offers wind resistance and high breathability. In addition, it has a polyurethane membrane to provide greater water resistance. Weight: 320 g/m2; breathable: PVA (water vapour permeability) 20 000 g/m2 in 24h; water column >10 000 mm; elasticity: 4-way stretch
- TwinDeck design: This is a double-layer fabric design that promotes greater insulation in the thigh area and is used in combination with the OSMOS Heavy and SPHERE Ultra fabrics
- blasenSchutz: a fabric panel for the abdomen and crotch area made of highly breathable, windproof and water-repellent SPHERE Ultra material for increased comfort and body heat
- rollBar: This is a patented fastening system that imitates the stabilizer bar of a race car by using the straps of the bib shorts to stabilize the chamois and fix its position while your weight moves from left to right on turns
- ergoBox: This is a square-shaped pattern that effectively fits the chamois to the back for greater stability
- Carbon Xbib material: This is a single section of elastic material, folded over itself to create an A-shaped support that provides limited vertical support at the rear. In addition, a more flexible material with an antibacterial carbon fabric is used at the top of the X-shaped joint to absorb moisture and prevent the bum from bending
- Sealed seams: located on the front panels to increase waterproofing in the thigh area
- Water repellent treatment (DWR): this is a fabric treated with DWR to provide greater security against any weather conditions
- WaterBarrier layer: the Geoprene layer in the lower leg area repels water and adheres to the shoe covers
- Reflective bands: located at the back of the calves for better visibility
- Design aeroFit: This is the simplest cut, designed for use on the road, with a better fit and higher compression than racingFit. Also, although it can be adjusted when not cycling, it really acts like a second skin on the road

Characteristics of the EQUIPE RS S9 chamois:
- kukuPenthouse: a soft layer of OSMOS Heavy fabric is added to the front of the chamois to adapt to the male anatomy, eliminate oppression and increase ventilation
- superAir microShock foam: a lightweight open cell foam with a shock absorbing composition returns to its original position and fills the gap every time pedalling position is changed through the shift of weight.
- 3D cushioning system: a patented, three-layer perforated foam increases breathability and reduces excess weight.
- GoldenGate technology: a patented technology that flattens the seams along both sides of the panels of the chamois to offer maximum three-dimensional freedom of movement in the most sensitive of rotational areas.

The Assos garments feature a specific cut which has been designed with your position on the bicycle in mind. Some Assos garments have been specially designed for users of athletic build. Assos garments have an anatomical fit, based on the AEPD system (Advanced Ergonomic Pattern Design), therefore Assos has designed their garments the cyclist's protection and adaptation in mind, but without overdoing on pressure points. The best way to feel Assos' anatomical precision is by wearing their garments and getting yourself in position on your bicycle. You will feel how the clothes adapt perfectly to your cycling posture. Obviously, Assos does not design clothing to be comfortable off the bike, this is a normal feeling among customers.
Purchasing the wrong size (too large or too small) will cause discomfort. A garment that is too large may cause irritation and discomfort due to folds or surpluses of the fabric, since in this case Assos' personal ALS sizing system would not work perfectly. If the garment is too small, the points of union and seams will stretch excessively, resulting in an increase in pressure and discomfort.
