Introduced at the beginning of the 70s and improved over the years, Lifa is based on yarn technology. Its main functions are moisture management and insulation. Lifa moves moisture away from the skin to the outside of the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly. It is a water-repellent fabric, meaning it prevents the absorption of liquid. This fibre is used to produce base layers that are in contact with the skin. The ultra-lightweight fabric and its technology work best as a base layer and when it is worn under other layers.
