Berghaus was founded in 1966 in the North East of England by climbers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison, in order to meet the growing demand in the market for outdoor products.

More than 40 years have passed since the designed the first mountaineering backpacks, during which the brand has remained at the forefront of leisure and outdoor sports, with the development and application of innovative technologies of fabrics and materials that significantly improve their thermal and waterproof capacities. The waterproofing improved with the incorporation of materials such as the Gore-Tex membrane or the AQ protection, developed by Berghaus. These advances make Berghaus a leading brand in the outdoor sector, recognised worldwide by hundreds of thousands of sports enthusiasts around the world.
