The Black Diamond Mercury mittens are a popular choice for year-round use, combining a waterproof BD.dry insert with an Empel DWR in the shell. The removable insulating lining, filled with Primaloft Gold Cross Core, dries quickly and provides insulation even when wet. A four-way stretch fabric and a long glove cuff keep wind and moisture out, while the goat leather palm and additional reinforcement layer withstand wind and moisture.
The goat leather palm and additional reinforcement layer resist rocky terrain, repeated rope handling, and the general wear associated with dedicated mountain use.
