Brooks is a runners company and for Brooks running is more than just putting your feet on the ground, it is an incomparable experience. Since its inception in Philadelphia in 1914, Brooks' goal has been to offer the inspiration to lead an active and moving life. Brooks believes that running should be fun and to make it fun, comfort is absolutely necessary. Without comfort, performance is difficult and fun is practically impossible. Fortunately, if there's one thing Brooks does well, it's to design running shoes and other incredibly comfortable running products. Different combined technologies provide a unique experience to runners eliminating all possible distractions. The comfort of Brooks sneakers is unique. In 1975, Brooks pioneered the use of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) soles, becoming one of the first athletic footwear companies to apply EVA technology, which is now an industry standard. In 1994, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS line was launched, which represented the birth of a star in the firmament of running shoes that is still part of the BROOKS catalog. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoe received the award for the best update of Runner's World in 2002. In 2001, Brooks made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on running equipment, shifting the focus from distribution to specialized sales. In 2006, the launch of Brooks' revolutionary midsole technology, the MoGo, was launched. In the same year, Brooks won the "green" award given by Runners World for the environmental improvements introduced in the manufacturing process of Brooks shoes. And in relation to ecology, in 2008 Brooks was the first company to introduce a fully biodegradable BioMoGo midsole.
