The Petzl MonoFil Keylock ensures a more fluid opening and closing of the carabiner, thus increasing the useful life compared to the traditional clip closure carabiners. The clip closure is protected on the sides in case of friction (against the rock ...).
The relief of the lower part of the carabiner serves to immobilize the String and favor the correct positioning of the express tape in relation to the carabiner.
The contact surfaces with the rope, as well as with the anchor, are wider to favor the passage of the rope and reduce the wear of the carabiner. The tip of the carabiner is provided with a hole to allow the evacuation of ice, snow or gravel.
The deflector, together with the shape of the carabiner, favors the correct position of the carabiner according to its longitudinal axis.
