CeramicSpeed BB86 Cups for Shimano 24 mm Road Red

The CeramicSpeed BB86 cups for Shimano fit the BB86 frames when the CeramicSpeed bottom bracket is installed. The kit consists of two cups that are pressed on both sides of the central opening. The cups come with CeramicSpeed bearings installed. There are two versions The first is the standard low-strength, long-life bearing with hardened steel races and the super-round CeramicSpeed Balls. The second version is the Coated Bearing, which uses those same CeramicSpeed balls installed in hardened steel coated tracks for longer life and less bearing resistance. This CeramicSpeed BB86 bottom bracket works with connecting rods that have 24 mm thru-axis shafts, including Shimano and FSA. The Standard CeramicSpeed bearings typically have a friction drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. This represents an average reduction in carry-over of 75% compared to standard brackets. Hardened steel races feature CeramicSpeed balls that are 100% softer and 15% harder than ceramic competition. CeramicSpeed bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Coated bearings further reduce friction and increase service life. Coated races see a 50% reduction in drag and a 60% improvement in bearing life. Changing the grease can adjust the performance. All Round Grease comes installed, but can be replaced with lower drag TT and tracking grease, or longer lasting LongLife grease, which adds a little drag but stays inside when driving in cluttered conditions.
