CeramicSpeed BB90 Trek SRAM GXP Road Bottom Bracket Black
The BB90 standard is limited to Trek. This kit makes it possible for 24/22mm thru-axle cranks from Quarq and SRAM to mate with your Trek. The Standard Bearings last at least 3 times longer than other bearings. That's a result of hardened-steel races and ceramic balls that are 100% smoother & 15% harder than the ceramic competition. These bearings have a frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, which boasts an average 75% drag reduction compared to stock bb's. The Coated Bearings increase bearing life by 60% and reduce drag by 50% compared to Standard Bearings. To better modify the performance for your needs, consider the grease you're using. All Round Grease comes installed, but can be changed for lower drag TT and Track Grease, or higher durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in when riding through messy conditions.
CeramicSpeed coated products provide the ultimate in performance and longevity gains. The patented coating features several attributes that enhance the longevity of CeramicSpeed bearings. The increased hardness of the strokes, combined with the smoothness of the ceramic speed balls, produces virtually no wear on the bearing. The coating is a metallic layer, which is 75% harder than hardened steel tracks. The coating is applied in a very thin and uniform layer of 3 microns (0.003 mm) over the entire surface of the bearing track. Both the interior and exterior are treated to achieve optimal results.
