The cups have extended sleeves and are joined with a central section, which reduces the likelihood of cracking and increases the reliability of the system. Standard CeramicSpeed bearings have only 0.3-.04 watts of frictional drag per set, an average reduction in drag of 75% compared to standard lower housings. This is the result of a great design that includes hardened steel races and ceramic speed balls that are 100% softer and 15% harder than ceramic competition. They also last longer. CeramicSpeed coated bearings last even longer and have even lower drag. Life increases by 60% and feed resistance drops by 50% compared to standard CeramicSpeed bearings. All Round Grease is installed in the bearings. It can be replaced with a lower drag TT and track grease, or longer lasting LongLife grease, which adds some drag but remains when driven in cluttered conditions.
