I bought this product for a friend as he has admired own for several years now. This is now an improvement upon my own in several areas. The side pockets have larger velcro attachments and easier to keep tidy/closed. The zipped separate inside pocket is not so fiddly as mine now as the size has been increased. Mine must be 4-5 years old now and has no signs of wear at all. Another friend bought one after seeing mine about 3 years ago and is still delighted. If I have one small niggle, it would be the elastic shock cord crossing the top cover. It only crosses once over the length of the bag making it a poor casual storage. It needs to cross at least 3 times........so I've never used mine. The bag still gets a 5 star plus though, as I've had dozens of bags over the years, all pretty useless.
