Dieter Braun became the first official Dainese rider in the Motorcycling World Championship.
Dainese grew in the world of mountain biking, becoming synonymous with protection. Dainese provided champions Shaun Palmer, Anne-Caroline Chausson and Cedric Gracia with their protection systems . Nicolas Vouilloz became downhill world champion for the seventh time and entered the mountain biking history books wearing Dainese.
