The Dynafit Blacklight 80 skis are specifically designed for all-mountain skiing with a focus on advanced skiers. This model has been developed for fast and ambitious backcountry skiers who are looking for a lightweight and easy to handle companion for technically challenging terrain. The ski is perfectly tuned technically, has a premium design and focuses on speed. The Blacklight 80 has a 100% "UD" carbon top layer. UD is the abbreviation to describe the "uni" or unidirectional arrangement of the fibres. Compared to classic carbon construction, UD carbon provides higher tensile strength and greater resilience while maintaining a lower density. The Blacklight 80 skis have a 100% premium Paulownia wood core. Thanks to their 3D construction, the skis decrease their overall weight to reduce their swing weight in front of and behind the binding area to essentially reduce the overall weight of the ski. Despite their low weight, they are very stable. The rocker construction in the tip and tail and the sidecut are also adapted to each ski size, a unique feature in the ski touring market. In this way, the effective edge length is equally proportional to each size, allowing it to function independently of size. To ensure the best possible power transfer in the ski, the Blacklight is constructed with a full ABS sidewall.
