Down is well known for its excellent insulating ability with a very low weight and small pack size. The only weakness of down is and remains its sensitivity to moisture. When the down gets wet, it clumps together and loses its loft, thus losing its insulating capacity. Precisely for that reason, the premium goose down used in the Radical Down hooded jacket has been treated with Downtek water-resistant treatment.
For additional protection against the elements, the lightweight nylon outer shell is wind and water resistant. Stretch side panels at the underarms ensure improved breathability, temperature regulation and freedom of movement. The elasticated hem and cuffs keep the jacket in place and prevent cold air from entering or heat from escaping. Both the front pockets and chest pocket offer space to store small essentials and keep your hands warm at the top. Thanks to its small size, this down jacket fits in any backpack to ensure that it is present on all routes.

The Downtek water resistant treatment allows the down to maintain its density and loft even when exposed to moisture and therefore keeps you warm. In addition, the down dries more quickly and can be machine washed without losing quality.
