Merino wool is one of the most popular fabrics in terms of quality and characteristics. It is obtained mainly from New Zealand Merino sheep. This breed of sheep is found in many corners of the world, but this wool is obtained from local sheep in that country. The difference between these Merino sheep and those of the rest of the world is the skin, which is thicker to protect them from extreme weather conditions. Due to the fineness of the fibre, Merino wool is much more pleasant on the skin. Sometimes, the large diameter of the fibers of normal wool irritates dead skin cells, while merino wool creates the opposite effect. This makes it much less irritating. Wearing merino wool sportswear provides outdoor sports enthusiasts with a feeling of softness and comfort on the skin, as well as warmth and lightness, a very important feature for those who are constantly on the move.
Recommendations for use:
The fabric is very delicate and must be treated and maintained with care.
- Avoid pulling at the seams when putting on or taking off garments.
- Be sure to put the garment on correctly before riding, especially pressure points, without straining seams or other attachment points.
- Avoid approaching branches, bushes, wires or other sharp objects that may damage Finisseur's garments.
Washing instructions:
- Wash Finisseur garments immediately after each use or allow them to air well before storing them unwashed.
- Do up all zips before washing.
- For a good care of the garment, hand washing with cold water is recommended.
- Use the right amount of neutral liquid detergent for delicate clothes, without adding fabric softener or bleach.
- It is important to wash the garment inside out.
- In case of heavy perspiration, it is recommended to rinse the garment with cold water after each use. This will prevent the formation of odour-causing bacteria in the fibers.
- Do not iron or wring Finisseur garments, even to remove excess water.
- Drying should be done in a warm and ventilated place, never with dryers or radiators.
- For drying, it is recommended to place the garment on a flat surface instead of hanging it.
- Any peeling after a certain number of washes should not be considered a defect, but a natural result of the material.
Storage:
- Avoid drying or storing Finisseur garments in direct sunlight.
- Avoid storing Finisseur garments in damp and enclosed areas. Avoid storing clothes in plastic bags.
