The Fizik Vento Infinito Carbon 2 shoes feature a knit construction that offers exceptional ventilation and are ultra-lightweight while maintaining all of Fizik's performance technologies. While still offering all of the advanced features proven in competition with professional peloton athletes, the latest version of the Infinito Knit features a refined knit construction that seamlessly integrates superior ventilation throughout the upper, more aerodynamic by eliminating more weight than ever before. An incredibly breathable knitted mesh base combines with specific knitted zones of thermofused TPU yarn to create foot support where athletes need it most. This ensures effective power transfer to the pedals with the same support and pedalling efficiency as a traditionally constructed cycling shoe.
The Volume Control system allows for a differentiated adjustment of the instep and forefoot areas, whose shape and volume can vary greatly from rider to rider. Thanks to the latest Li2 BOA Fit System platform, with a smaller ball diameter and a lower, more aerodynamic profile, riders can tailor the fit to their unique foot shape, ensuring maximum performance without compromising on comfort.
A specific piece of the upper of the shoe wraps around the plantar arch and can be precisely adjusted for a perfect fit and better support of the plantar fascia using the latest Li2 BOA platform. The volume of the forefoot area can be controlled by Infinity, a unique fit configuration feature. The Infinity balances tension and further eliminates pressure hot spots through the use of BOA textile lace guides. This adjustment system acts over a wider area of the upper of the shoe, pulling the eyelets inwards evenly from all directions for a more comfortable and supportive fit.
It features a completely new outsole with a carbon fibre design that saves weight and provides greater rigidity. With a stiffness rating of 10, this sole is the stiffest in the Fizik range. A wide air inlet and deep internal ducting provide cooling airflow to help regulate temperature. The cleat position is slightly more set back compared to traditional settings to optimise pedalling efficiency and reduce knee compression, especially suitable for very aggressive and forward aerodynamic positions.
