Fuji Transonic 2.3 Road Bike Grey Red
The Fuji Transonic 2.3 road bike features its high-modulus C10 carbon frame for strength-to-weight balance, its FC-440 carbon monocoque fork with tapered head tube and its Shimano 105 group components. Its Oval Concepts wheels and Vittoria Zaffiro Pro V 28c tyres make this bike a great weapon for flat terrain.
Technology:
- High modulus carbon C10: Weighing in at 1050g, Fuji's high-modulus carbon material uses two levels of carbon, resulting in the optimum balance of strength, stiffness and weight of carbon.
- Thru axle: The thru axles slide through a closed toe, which increases the safety of the wheels and the overall lateral stiffness of a frame, creating a bike that has precise steering and optimal control.
- Shapes of the tube: Used on both the frame and the fork, Kamm tails are truncated aerodynamic profiles that work better with less resistance at yaw angles (side winds) than full profiles.
- Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis: CFD analysis was used extensively during the design process to ensure that airflow in each section of the frame was minimized.
