The new BOA IP-1 winder has a triple functionality: to close the right shoe you have to turn the rotor in a clockwise direction and to open it you have to turn anti-clockwise, the opposite is the case with the left shoe. Lift the rotor to fully open the shoe. The new BOA IP? 1 rotor has a hexagonal shape, which, together with the rubber finish makes the grip more effective and with an optimal fit.
- DUAL FCS Dual Fitting Closure System
The innovative closing system DUAL FCS (Fitting Closure System) consists of two BOA IP-1 micro adjustable coils and 4 guides. These elements allow to obtain a precise, fast and personalized closure in the entire front area of ??the shoe, without any pressure point.
- TSS Tarsal Support System
This shoe is designed with the TSS Tarsal Support System technology to ensure the perfect position of the foot inside the shoe, obtaining a round pedaling without wasting energy.
- Air Ventilation System
All Gaerne shoes provide excellent breathability and a perfect microclimate.
- Comfort Fit Tongue
The tongue is perforated to allow greater internal ventilation and is equipped with special padding to increase comfort.
- EPS Comfort Insole
Internal anatomical insole with support in the tarsal area to improve comfort and pedaling efficiency. The template is perforated to obtain an optimal microclimate inside the shoe.
- Heel Cup
A new anatomical design of the heel with a new piece of injected plastic that does not deform. Anti-tendinitis design with anti-slip insert for better stability and foot control.
- EPS POWER MTB SOLE
The Gaerne technology, together with the know-how of Michelin's designers and technicians, has given rise to the new MTB EPS outsole, which offers excellent power transmission during pedaling and the right flexibility for walking.
The structure is made of nylon with carbon fibers; the tread area of ??the Michelin rubber sole combines a component designed to reconcile greater performance and resistance to abrasion, also in extreme situations, with a stud design that allows for optimum grip and traction; The wide distance between one block and another is very useful for self-cleaning.
