The beginnings of Giordana Cycling Apparel date back to 1971 when Giorgio Andretta created Gita Sporting Goods, LTD to provide the highest quality Made in Italy equipment to American cyclists. Giorgio started as an elite cyclist in the Italian region of Veneto and while he was competing he had the opportunity to interact with many of the local brands. When moving to the United States became the first American distributor of Grandis, Duegi, De Rosa, Diadora, Campagnolo, Pinarello, and many other brands. Later Giorgio Andretta took advantage of his passion for cycling to create a clothing brand. That passion was the fuel that drove Giordana to international success and to this day it continues to be the engine of product development. In 2015 Giordana celebrated its 35th anniversary and has recently moved to new facilities in Italy creating even more synergies for all phases of production. This has helped to streamline the manufacturing process even more to create the best cycling apparel on the market.
