Use this function in case of danger situation or any other emergency to inform the emergency services about your exact location and the need for assistance. The GEOS Emergency Response Center will alert the appropriate agencies around the world. Once activated, Spot will obtain your exact coordinates from the GPS network and send that data along with a message to the International Emergency Center of GEOS every five minutes until its cancellation. In addition, your emergency contacts will also be informed about the reception of this emergency signal. Even if Spot can not find your location with the GPS network, it will try to send an emergency signal without the exact location to the GEOS Emergency Center, which will notify the reception of the signal and will continue monitoring the network in case more messages are issued.

This function allows friends and family to know that everything is going well and to know your GPS location through a programmed message. Just pressing a button sends a text message or an email to up to 10 predetermined contacts, and your waypoint is stored in your Spot account for future reference.

This function makes friends and family receive a confirmation message with your location just by pressing a button. Use this function as a secondary confirmation message or transfer your personal alert to this message function if you are using the Spot Assistance service.

This feature allows you to send and save the location, and your contacts can track your progress virtually in real time using Google Maps. With the Spot account, you have the possibility to configure a shared Spot page that allows you to show others your GPS Spot locations in Google Maps. Once activated, Spot acquires and sends your GPS coordinates to your Spot account automatically every 10 minutes for 24 hours or until canceled. The tracking service must be reset to continue. Creating a shared page allows you to share your GPS route with your friends and family in real time on the web through a link.
