The ability to move quickly and agile can be the determining factor to achieve your alpine goals and improve your safety. Lightweight equipment can make a big difference here. But light garments are useless if they cannot withstand the wear and tear of mountain sports. Pertex Quantum is one of the lightest high performance fabrics on the market. It is made of 100% nylon (polyamide) yarns. It is very thin, lightweight (35 g/m2) and has a heavily dense structure to provide a light and soft fabric, but also incredibly robust and abrasion resistant. Pertex Quantum is wind and water resistant and highly breathable. This means it allows water vapour to escape to the outside. Its fabric, from Japan, is high-performance and is used to achieve the highest level of insulation. Thanks to this, not even the smallest feather can pass through the fabric. It is therefore ideal for making ultra-light insulation jackets, sleeping bags and jackets with weather protection.
