The Haglöfs L.I.M Essens jacket is the best and most reliable down jacket you can wear on your back. It's an L.I.M. garment, so like the others in the range, it's built as light as possible with all the essentials in place. While you may forget you're wearing it, you'll notice that you're dry, comfortable and warm. The DWR-treated shell is extremely durable and lightweight, and is filled with high quality DOWN PLATINUM 800 CUIN goose down. Treated with Nikwax for long-lasting performance even in wet conditions and to speed up drying time. Complete with articulated sleeves and two pockets to warm your hands.

Recycled material = post-consumer material and production waste such as PET bottles, offcuts and the like.
Recyclable material = material that can be used as a base material for further recycling.
At Haglöfs, a product in which 50% or more is made from recycled materials is called recycled. This percentage is a common practice in the textile industry. The actual percentage of recycled material for each of the different main materials, included in any product, will be presented on the care label.

- Responsible Down Standard (RDS) & bluesign approved Down
Haglöfs use only down (including feather) that is certified according to the Responsible Down Standard, RDS. This means that a third party (Control Union, Licensee number 846100) has ensured that the down has been produced with the best animal welfare in mind from the moment the eggs hatch on the farm. The animals have been reared in accordance with the 'five freedoms' throughout their lives, no force-feeding has been allowed, slaughter for the food industry has been carried out correctly and the down has subsequently been collected as a product subsidy. The down is rigorously cleaned with multiple washes in biodegradable, environmentally friendly detergent and recycled water, all in accordance with the bluesign standard. Third party testing shows that the down has consistently high turbidity (10000 mm +) and low oxygen counts (1.5-3.2%); making the down one of the cleanest and most allergen free down available.

- Nikwax Hydrophobic Down
Nikwax Hydrophobic Down has a flexible durable water repellent (DWR) finish on each individual down filament. This reduces moisture absorption by protecting the down from perspiration, condensation and precipitation and maintaining loft and insulation in cold, wet conditions.

The bluesign certificate is more than just an ecolabel. Due to the global focus on industrial standards, not only has the final consumer's safety been taken into account but also other aspects including workplace health, water emissions and air emissions. As well as these important aspects, the principle to conserve resources plays a greater role within the Bluesign certificate. The independent bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire chain of production only contains components and only uses processes that are respectful to people and to the environment.
