Composition:
- Pertex Quantum, 100% recycled polyamide, 10D down proof, super lightweight mini ripstop fabric, 28 g/m2, bluesign approved. Haglöfs H DOWN Platinum 800 CUIN premium goose down (90% down/10% feather) is treated with Nikwax to maintain long-lasting performance even in wet conditions and to speed up drying time.

Pertex Quantum is a super lightweight, durable fabric that offers significant weight reduction without sacrificing strength or abrasion resistance. Using some of the finest yarns available with the optimum thread count, this fabric has an extremely dense weave construction making it down resistant by construction. The tear strength and seam strength are good for its weight and can easily be used in outer jackets or sleeping bags and withstand the abuse of heavy use. The Pertex Quantum fabrics used by Haglöfs are bluesign approved and have a fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment.

The bluesign certificate is more than just an ecolabel. Due to the holistic approach of this industry standard, not only the safety of the end consumer has been taken into account, but also other aspects, including occupational health, emissions to water and emissions to air. As well as these important aspects, the principle to conserve resources plays a greater role within the Bluesign certificate. The independent Bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire chain of production only contains components and only uses processes that are respectful to people and to the environment.
- Responsible Down Standard (RDS) & bluesign approved Down
Haglöfs use only down (including feather) that is certified according to the Responsible Down Standard, RDS. This means that a third party (Control Union, Licensee number 846100) has ensured that the down has been produced with the best animal welfare in mind from the moment the eggs hatch on the farm. The animals have been reared in accordance with the 'five freedoms' throughout their lives, no force-feeding has been allowed, slaughter for the food industry has been carried out correctly and the down has subsequently been collected as a product subsidy. The down is rigorously cleaned with multiple washes in biodegradable, environmentally friendly detergent and recycled water, all in accordance with the bluesign standard. Third party testing shows that the down has consistently high turbidity (10000 mm +) and low oxygen counts (1.5-3.2%); making the down one of the cleanest and most allergen free down available.
