Due to the global focus on industrial standards, not only has the final consumer's safety been taken into account but also other aspects including workplace health, water emissions and air emissions. As well as these important aspects, the principle to conserve resources plays a greater role within the Bluesign certificate. The independent Bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire chain of production only contains components and only uses processes that are respectful to people and to the environment.
- PROOF:
Any normal jacket for everyday use only needs a 2000 mm water column to withstand the elements. But the goal is to improve that record for Haglöfs. All PROOF products withstand a water column of 10,000 to 20,000 mm, which means that the materials are not only sustainable, but also perform perfectly under very adverse conditions. The products are also highly breathable. Breathability is measured in MVTR (Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate) in grams/m2/24h, and the values are very high, between 10,000 and 20,000 grams. A PROOF product will help you perform at your best in all weather conditions.
- DWR
The fabric is treated with a durable water repellent finish repels light rain and snow while reducing drying time. When used in conjunction with a waterproof and breathable outer layer, DWR helps prevent that layer from becoming saturated.
