Haglöfs Rapid Mimic Hooded Jacket Green

The Haglöfs Rapid Mimic hooded jacket is made with wind and tear resistant Pertex outer fabric and is insulated with remarkable recycled synthetic down, which emulates the outstanding warming characteristics of real down, but offers excellent performance even when wet. Additional QuadFusion insulation in non-padded areas provides reliable warmth, allows you to move freely and reduces the risk of cold spots.

Technology:
- Pertex
Pertex is a range of high performance fabrics that balance lightness, strength and performance designed for use in garments, sleeping bags and down jackets. Pertex fabric technology is based on a natural phenomenon called capillary action technology which means that moisture moves through the capillaries between the fibres and spreads over a large surface area where it evaporates quickly. Pertex fabrics also have a high level of wind resistance, but allow a precisely controlled amount of airflow through the fabric. This controlled airflow plays an important role in evaporating excessive moisture build-up inside the jacket. Haglöfs uses several versions.

- Fluorocarbon-Free (PFC-Free) DWR
The durable water repellent action of Haglöfs PFC-free DWR treatments comes from a technology based on hydrocarbons, silicone and/or wax instead of fluorinated chemicals. Regardless of the 'active ingredient', all PFC-free DWR treatments used are completely free of all perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) (of course, including perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)), free of other halogenated substances and free of alkylphenoethoxylates, including nonylphenoethoxylates. Potential drawbacks are that the oil repellency and durability of non-PFC DWR treatments may be slightly lower than that of a PFC-containing option, and therefore the water repellency may need to be re-treated at an earlier point in time. In general, Haglöfs uses very good and environmentally friendly alternatives to DWR treatments containing PFCs.

- Haglöfs Recycled
Recycled material = post-consumer material and production waste such as PET bottles, offcuts and the like.
Recyclable material = material that can be used as a base material for further recycling.
At Haglöfs, a product in which 50% or more is made from recycled materials is called recycled. This percentage is a common practice in the textile industry. The actual percentage of recycled material for each of the different main materials, included in any product, will be presented on the care label.

The bluesign certificate is more than just an ecolabel. Due to the global focus on industrial standards, not only has the final consumer's safety been taken into account but also other aspects including workplace health, water emissions and air emissions. As well as these important aspects, the principle to conserve resources plays a greater role within the Bluesign certificate. The independent bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire chain of production only contains components and only uses processes that are respectful to people and to the environment.
