Helly Hansen RECCO XL 14 Recycled materialsproducts
Helly Hansen's origins can be traced back to 1877, when the Norwegian sea captain Helly Juell Hansen and his wife began making waterproof oilskin suits, trousers and tarpaulins. The brand had a great introduction to the market, selling 10,000 pieces in their first five years. From there, the company began exporting their products and introducing multiple technical advances in their garments. Some examples are the CIS system, which allows several layers to be combined in a single garment, and Lifa, a system which moves moisture away from the skin to keep users warm and comfortable used by outdoor sports professionals. Currently, Helly Hansen produces high quality garments for skiing, mountaineering and sailing in the most difficult conditions.
