When practicing sport, part of the energy of the body is consumed by the process of temperature regulation. Its performance, therefore, is conditioned by the body's ability to eliminate excess heat. The helmet Rudy Project Airstorm guarantees the highest level of performance, as it helps in the rapid and effective expulsion of heat from inside the helmet. The 16 front air openings are effective for letting fresh air into the helmet. The internal design has been made to create grooves that channel the flow of hot air to the outside and dissipate the heat.
Only 260 grams is an extremely low weight for a helmet whose key features are ventilation, aerodynamics and comfort. The Rudy Project Airstorm, in fact, is the result of a study of the exhaustive ergonomics carried out by the designers Rudy Project, as a result of which the weight has been distributed optimally in the points of pressure of the helmet on the head, ensuring a comfortable fit and preventing the accumulation of sweat and moisture.
An ergonomic fit is essential to avoid inconvenience in the use of a cycling helmet during training and competition. The shape of the head differs from person to person, so the mechanisms have been designed to adapt the fit of the helmet to individual needs and, at the same time, ensure total protection.
The first of these mechanisms is the RSR8 Retention System, an ultralight system that has three adjustable height positions to guarantee maximum stability. The RSR8 Retention System also has a micrometric adjustment system that can also be activated with one hand when it is moving.
A helmet with everything included. The Rudy Project Airstorm has a removable bicycle visor to avoid glare from the sun, impact with branches and to protect the face against the elements (raindrops, etc ...). It also has two removable and washable interchangeable fillings: one with a network of insects and a thinner one that guarantees a greater circulation of air or the insertion of a wind kerchief in winter. The helmet Rudy Project Airstorm is equipped with adhesive reflectors on the back of the helmet and is available in bright fluorescent colors, in the same color variants as the glasses, which ensures greater visibility and, therefore, greater security.
