Salewa MTN Trainer Mid GORE-TEX Hiking Boots Black Orange
I work as an arborist and these boots are great to climb and work on the ground in. Very lightweight, waterproof and durable. I also use them when I’m fishing from land. I will continue to buy these boots until I find something better.

Well built and perfect fit
I’m a tree climber by trade. My preferred boot manufacturer for the last decade has been Asolo. A friend of mine recommended Salewa. They were perfect from the moment I put them on and I won’t be going back. I initially purchased the Crow gtx in red. After I wore them for a couple days I bought the Crow in green, and the mountain trainers in black/orange. They are true to size. No blisters ever. Perfect for my medium to narrow foot. I love the toebox - it’s got some characteristics of a rock climbing shoe, which is ideal for getting my toe into tight crotches on small tree branches. They’re very comfortable and the grip is excellent. I wear them all day for work without any discomfort.
Salewa Rapace GORE-TEX Hiking Boots Red Orange
I'm a huge fan of Salewa products and this is the fourth pair so far. These Rapace GTX boots are basically a stiffer version of the Mountain Trainer boots. I'm still breaking them in, but they are instantly comfortable and I look forward to putting them through the paces this hunting season.
Salewa Rapace GORE-TEX Hiking Boots Black
Good sturdy boot. Stiff for long hikes especially the first time out. Good for a front strap style crampon and very aggressive tread design. Hiked the Tetons and then climbed the Full Exum route in them and I would not recommend doing that. (Use climbing or approach shoes) The boots are sloppy on rock with not a lot of feel. But they do support your ankles when trudging through a lot of loose rock. They’re also slippery on rock when wet. I did get blisters on my heals and toes after only about an hour of hiking. I wasn’t supper happy with that for obvious reasons. However the quality of the boot is really good and should hold up very well over time. I think they will do really well for shorter hikes and ice climbing.

Excellent quality boots from Asolo. Very lightweight and C3 compatible so I'm a very happy boy. Light enough to wear for mountsineering routes and summer climbing days
