Icebug New Run RB9 GORE-TEX Shoes Blue Woman

The Icebug New Run RB9 GORE-TEX Shoe is Icebug's first real road shoe. High comfort has been in the spotlight during the development of this shoe, a waterproof GORE-TEX top crowned with the Boa Fit System were obvious features to add. Low temperatures don't go well with a tight fit, so the latter has a spacious toe box and a straight line that allows the foot to flex and extend naturally. The midsole is well padded and with its wide base is stable and long. The 7mm drop hits the sweet spot and feels good throughout the stride. The RB9 rubber compound also excels at low temperatures when other rubbers become stiff and, in combination with the padded outsole, provides unrivalled traction in all three seasons of the year.

Items made from Gore-Tex material offer maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of activities and climates. The GORE-Tex membrane resists water and wind to ensure maximum waterproofing whilst also allowing the foot to breathe. How can that be? It’s all down to a membrane with pores that are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule. That means that water cannot get in, but skin can still breathe. Every membrane is checked and tested under the toughest atmospheric conditions.

- Bluesign
The Bluesign system goes a step further than being an ecolabel. Due to the global approach of this industrial standard, not only has the safety of the end consumer been taken into account, but also other aspects, including occupational health, as well as water and air emissions. Aside from those important aspects, the principal of conserving resources plays a major role in the Bluesign certificate. The independent Bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire production chain only uses components and processes that are harmless to people and the environment.

- OrthoLite
OrthoLite soles offer a high level of cushioning thanks to their design of three compressed layers as well as improving the shoe’s fit. They have great breathability thanks to their polyurethane construction and they manage moisture perfectly. As well as that, they are lightweight and can be put in the washing machine.

- BOA
The BOA patented locking system consists of micro-adjustable wheels with a steel cable. The combination of these features allows the runner to gain an even fit, without pressure points, and thanks to the lack of Velcro straps, there’s better circulation at the front of the foot.
