The Inov8 F-lite 260 trail running shoe is made with a flexible nylon mesh upper with a mesh inner lining that provides breathability and ventilation, keeping your feet cool and dry with every step. The welded rubber toe protects the toes when doing burpees or other movements that could damage them. The two-piece POWERFLOW+ midsole offers 10% better shock absorption and 15% more energy return than standard mid-soles allowing you to run harder for longer. Inov-8's DFB replicates the anatomical position of the ligament of the plantar fascia and doubles the function of the human foot's ability to use the'pin-wheel effect". Originating at the front of the outer sole of the heel, the DFB extends forward along the outer sole and divides, like the human fascia, into five folds ending in the anterior part of the metatarsal heads. As the body weight moves toward the metatarsal heads and the screws begin to extend, the tension in the DFB increases. When the heel comes off the ground, the DFB resists the elongation of the medial arch and supports the entire body weight of the runner, turning the shoe into a rigid propulsion lever.
