The beginnings of Kalas Sportswear Company are not related, as many might expect, only to financial gain, but to the need to raise funds for cycling in Tabor. Mr. Čestmír Kalas, a former Czechoslovak cyclist and successful coach of several world champions, knew that to keep Tabor in the cycling elite, much more than just training was needed. Sufficient funding was needed to keep the club in the Czech cycling mecca. The idea of a determined cycling enthusiast was put into effect a decade later when it became one of the leading manufacturers of cycling and sports clothing in Europe. The aim of Kalas is to practise sport in a comfortable and simple way. Kalas is made exclusively from the best materials from Italy and Switzerland. They use the latest manufacturing technologies with the intention of achieving good quality, functional, comfortable clothing with an attractive design. They ensure that each jersey fits perfectly to the body's physiognomy and for this purpose production is carried out directly at their company headquarters in the Czech Republic.
