As well as these important aspects, the principle to conserve resources plays a greater role within the Bluesign certificate. The independent Bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire chain of production only contains components and only uses processes that are respectful to people and to the environment.

Sportiva features the exclusive recycled fabric and insulation thanks to the use of 100% recycled polyester fibres called RePET. For each clothing product that comes with the 'RECYCLED' label, La Sportiva guarantees the following features: Each petrochemical material has been replaced with a post-consumer recycled PET bottle. The garment helps to protect nature and to reduce the environmental impact. Excellent and long-lasting quality Less CO2 emission (-54%) compared to the use of normal polyester fibres.
