Since the birth of the La Sportiva brand in 1928, it has always focused on designing and producing a complete range of footwear for outdoor activities. In fact, at the beginning of the nineties, La Sportiva was one of the first brands to develop footwear that covered the demands of a new market in expansion, that of runners who wanted to run and climb mountains with lightweight shoes that at the same time provide the necessary protection. From that came the creation of the first trail running shoes , a category that La Sportiva called Mountain Running , demonstrating the experience and know-how of the brand in this type of running shoes . Each product of the collection is born in the mountains in Ziano, Val di Fiemme, in the foothills of the Dolomites, from the first sketches to the computer design with the selection of colours and technical solutions, to finish making the prototypes that are tested by the Mountain Running Team of La Sportiva, a group of athletes that compete in some of the main international competitions In summary: passion, innovation and ability to stand out from the crowd are the keys that have built the La Sportiva brand since the first day.
