Marmot Down Defender technology is an insurance policy for your clothing and sleeping bags. This specially treated, highly water-resistant down offers an extra level of moisture protection for garments and bags exposed to damp environments. Down Defender helps keep you warm and comfortable. It is PFOA and PFOS free and has bluesign approval.
The treatment coats the individual feathers with a DWR on a molecular level, thus presenting a durable finish while maintaining water repellency for 20 washes.
As a result, Down Defender garments and bags stay dry longer and dry faster than conventional items.
