Traditional gels are water and carbohydrates mixed in syrups, which often contain added flavours and preservatives. Maurten Energy Gel 100 is completely different. It is a biopolymer matrix, filled with a unique combination of fructose and glucose (ratio of 0.8: 1) that allows the capture of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour.

Amount of energy
Studies have shown that our bodies can use up to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour. It has recently been scientifically proven that a glucose to fructose ratio of 0.8: 1 allows even greater absorption: up to 100 grams per hour. Gel 100 has been developed using this relationship, so it gives a lot of energy. One serving contains 25 grams of carbohydrates.
How does it work?
The Gel 100 has been created based on hydrogel technology. Hydrogel allows the smooth transport of carbohydrates through the stomach to the intestine, where water, salt and carbohydrates are absorbed.
