The Mavic Deemax Pro MIPS helmet is built for mountain adventures, with specific intelligent features focused on protection and performance. It all starts with the overall progressive helmet profile, a full-covered shape that extends to the nape of the neck for total protection. It also includes the MIPS brain protection system, which helps reduce the energy and rotational forces transferred to the brain. We've integrated our Live Fit concept into the MIPS Low Friction Layer, which uses XRD foam to absorb vibrations and cushion impacts. The Live Fit instantly moulds to the shape of your head, giving you a custom fit for long-lasting comfort. The innovative Autofit straps offer a comfortable and secure feeling right from the start, eliminating the hassle of having to adjust buckles and straps. The cushion is made with 37.5 technology, which uses active particles to absorb heat from the head and expel sweat five times faster than traditional fabrics, keeping you cool, comfortable and dry even on long, hot ascents. Finally, several trail-specific features give you everything you need to roll through complicated trails, such as a special goggle fit designed to prevent fogging, an adjustable visor and a grille in the front holes to protect you from insects.

MIPS leads in the market for slip plane technology in the helmet's interior which is designed to reduce any rotational impact from certain knocks. When the head rotates rapidly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration can cause high levels of stress in the brain tissue. The tissue strain caused by these movements can result in various types of brain injuries. We believe that helmets equipped with MIPS technology bring the highest level of protection against certain types of impacts. MIPS uses a slip plane technology that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the same protection system that the brain uses. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the aim of potentially slowing or reducing the amount of energy transferred to or from the head.
