The Maxxis Ardent Race MTB tyre is ideal for technical XC competitions and marathons. With its medium-high tread, the Ardent Race fills the gap between the XC-oriented Maxxis Ikon and the enduro-oriented Arden. The centre lugs are spaced to reduce rolling resistance, while the side lugs are focused on providing good traction in corners. It features EXO Protection technology, where the tyre sidewalls are more resistant to cuts and abrasion.

3C Maxx Speed compound. Designed for XC and enduro, this triple compound reduces rolling resistance and optimises tyre traction.

- EXO: An extremely cut and abrasion resistant material that is added to the sidewalls of selected mountain tyres. This very dense fabric is also lightweight and very flexible, ensuring that the tyre's performance is not compromised. Ideal for exceptionally rocky and treacherous trails where the likelihood of cuts and abrasions on the sidewalls is high

- Tubeless Ready: It combines a carbon fiber cord for strength, a cord pad for safety and a rubber compatible with liquid sealant for air retention, eliminating the need for an air chamber. The puncture protection layer helps prevent damage caused by road debris. Liquid sealant can be used to prevent any loss of air pressure

- Triple Compound (3C), a set of three rubber compounds that improve traction and stability on the bike.

I like it, but for the terrain that I usually ride on, it is not the most suitable, otherwise, very smooth ride and good lateral studs
