The MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS UAE Team Emirates 2024 is the most advanced road helmet MET has ever produced. It is a vital companion for the serious rider with a competitive spirit, offering unprecedented levels of performance. 3k Carbon technology is what allows it to outperform previous models. The elastic carbon modules allow the density of the EPS foam to be reduced by 20%, without affecting its ability to absorb energy. The parallel ribs are joined from the centre of the helmet by a carbon shell inserted into the liner, making it drastically lighter than conventionally manufactured helmets.

Leading flat displacement technology within the helmet, designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. When a head rotates rapidly and comes to a sudden stop, rotational acceleration can cause high levels of stress on brain tissue. The stretching of tissue caused by these movements can result in various types of brain injuries. We believe that helmets equipped with MIPS technology can add a higher level of protection against certain types of impacts. MIPS uses a flat displacement system that moves within the helmet, mimicking the brain's own protection system. This layer is designed to rotate within the helmet in an attempt to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the stress associated with rotational acceleration, we could reduce the risk and severity of brain damage.
