That's what happened to Eduardo, one of the founding partners of Mugiro, during his first half-marathon in 2009. He first searched for and tried some of the solutions available on the market, but none of them completely assured him of avoiding this problem when long-distance running. So, he decided, together with others, to develop a nipple protector with a real guarantee for athletes.

The nipple protector was the basis of the Mugiro project. And later two new protectors were incorporated: the neck protector for open water swimmers and the heart rate monitor for cyclists and runners. And the work of Mugiro continues! After a creation and prototype optimisation process, they can now share three highly reliable protectors that offer guaranteed protection for the skin for both amateur and professional athletes alike.
