World-renowned mountaineer and mountain runner Kilian Jornet and family-run footwear company Camper are launching NNormal.

"Sharing common values was an extra motivation to start this project. We agreed that we need a new way of thinking and acting about the environment and outdoor activities," Jornet explains. "We want to be very honest about the way we produce the equipment and the role the company plays in society and the environment. This translates into full transparency and working to avoid over-consumption by creating durable products. In order to have a minimal impact on the environment, we need to work with different materials and try out different designs. It's a long and difficult process, but that's what motivates me and the team to start this project.

Designed in Mallorca and tested in Norway - indeed, the very name cleverly merges its two origins (Nor-uega and Mal-lorca) - NNormal's products reflect the shared philosophy of the collaboration: to bring together authenticity and functionality as an incentive for people to fun and respect nature. A mission that is embodied in timeless equipment that is built to last, functional and performance-driven.

"Creating a new brand is always exciting, but we are aware of the challenges it presents," says Miguel Fluxa, CEO of Camper and fourth generation member of the founding family. He brings his strong product development experience and unique insight into the world of outdoor activities, while Camper brings its entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in footwear design and manufacturing."

The NNormal selection will launch in Autumn 2022 in Europe and North America through our website nnormal.com and specialising outdoor and running stores. The first release will be a limited edition range focusing on footwear, apparel and accessories for mountain running and hiking. Kilian Jornet, as the first ambassador of the NNormal team to be unveiled in the coming weeks, will be using it during this year's running season.
