Inspired by the technical characteristics of two popular Michelin tyres, it is made with 2 different compounds, one softer on the inside for better grip, and the other harder and more resistant on the outside for better protection against abrasion and wear. X-Fire features aggressive sculpts in the toe area for optimal traction even on complex terrain, while those in the heel area help improve grip and stability when the foot hits the ground. The cleat area, with an extended adjustment range for greater versatility, has been designed with a special design for faster engagement and better grip. In addition, Northwave's X Crossbow construction provides increased elasticity in the heel area, improving the shoe's shock absorption.
- S.L.W.3 Closing System
S.L:W. dial 3 (Speed Lace Winch) represents the evolution of the closure system. Maximum precision and usability. This innovative dial system that can be tightened or loosened quickly and easily. The side button offers dual functionality: press the button for micrometric release, or lift the button to instantly undo the shoe completely. The dial has been completely redesigned in size, becoming much lighter and slimmer. The outer part is made of a soft-touch material making it easier to grip. The ergonomic shape of the ratchet of the S.L.W.2 system 3 follows the anatomy of the foot to make it really comfortable. The S.L.W.ratchet 3 is easily replaceable. The wires come from the best technologies used in sailing.
