The Northwave Extreme GT 4 shoes are designed for demanding road cycling rides. The shell is made of a strategically perforated fabric, equipped with mesh inserts, for constant breathability. ARS (Anatomic Reticular Support) technology provides an exoskeleton that wraps the feet with an exceptional fit, adapting to different foot types and transferring power to the pedal in a uniform and controlled manner. The Morph Carbon 12 AAS sole, with a 100% carbon fibre insert in the pedal area and a stiffness rating of 12, provides efficient power transfer with every pedal stroke (compatible with Speedplay/Wahoo pedals). The SLW3 dual dial and dual zone closure offer the ability to differentiate pressure in the toe and upper instep area.

The new SLW3 developed by X-Dial is totally unique and offers an ultra-fast micrometric closure. This compact mechanism is very light and intuitive, just turn the dial for a quick precise closing. The side button gradually releases the lock so you can enjoy even micrometric control when driving.

• ARS (Anatomic Reticular Support)

The arch support system uses the lattice structure to wrap the foot evenly from the sole to the instep. With its special design, the ARS technology, together with the X-Dial SLW3 dual locking system, creates a modular cage that keeps the foot in the correct position on all surfaces, regardless of whether you're on or off the road. Prevents pressure build-up on the plantar fascia, a cause of inflammation and pain. The increased stiffness resulting from the combination of ARS technology and carbon fibre sole sends even more power to the pedal so you feel in harmony with the ground beneath your feet. Improved stability gives you a more circular pedal stroke and ensures even pedal power; the pressure distribution for the closure is now spread over two zones (toe and instep area), meaning it can be precisely differentiated to suit the shape of your foot. This allows effortless transfer of energy to the ground, even after many hours in the saddle.

The full carbon insert in the pedal area offers excellent pedal response without compromising the low weight design and first class ventilation. The sole of the Morph Carbon 12 AAS features the unique Anatomical Arch Support: a TPU arch support integrated between the sole and the upper that allows the shoe to conform to the arch while providing the best possible support while pedalling. TPU offers a reduced degree of flex, making it an ideal material for long distance driving.
