The Northwave Extreme XC 2 shoes are designed for excellent performance as you ride your favourite MTB trails. Its construction offers excellent lightness and responsiveness, whether you're on a technical trail or struggling up a steep climb. The strategically perforated shell and mesh inserts ensure constant ventilation. In addition, ARS (Anatomic Reticular Support) technology generates an exoskeleton that wraps around the foot, transferring every watt of power to the pedal. The Hyperlight XC unidirectional carbon fibre sole, developed in collaboration with Michelin, will ensure you can always count on speed and control. The SLW3 double dial and the dual zone closure offer the possibility to differentiate the pressure in the toe area and on the upper part of the instep. The TPU protection is thinner and 10% stronger than previous models.

The new SLW3 developed by X-Dial is totally unique and offers an ultra-fast micrometric closure. This compact mechanism is very light and intuitive, just turn the dial for a quick precise closing. The side button gradually releases the lock so you can enjoy even micrometric control when driving.

Made of 100% unidirectional carbon fibre, the Hyperlight XC Michelin is the result of Northwave's biomechanical studies to design the sole using different materials only when they are really needed for maximum efficiency, so that it is able to combine low weight and extreme stiffness. The outsole is made through the innovative Dual Layers Compound Technology, combining softer and harder compounds to increase flexibility, stability and grip. The former offer maximum flexibility, acting as an independent suspension, while the latter are stiffer and tougher, for improved traction and strength. Aggressive structures in the toe and heel areas provide the ideal grip and traction, while lateral structures ensure stability.
